Description
The Coral Reef Ecosystem is a scene that reproduces the coral reef which is a typical formation of tropical seas and oceans. In the collective imagination and not only, coral reefs represent a colorful and highly biodiverse underwater world, where over 4,000 species of fish inhabit its shallow and deep sandy seabeds. Most coral reefs are found in waters less than 50 m deep. Some inhabit tropical continental shelves, such as the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Others are found in the deep ocean surrounding islands or as atolls, such as in the Maldives, a tropical country in the Indian Ocean. Atlantic and Caribbean coral reefs account for 7.6%.
