Description
The Coppedè district is a place where architecture becomes art. The characteristics of this splendid corner of the city of Rome in Italy are represented by the bizarre architectural and artistic mix: Liberty Style, Art Nouveau, Greek Art, Deco Art, Baroque Art, Gothic Art, and Medieval Art.
The Frogsies Fountain is based on a project dating back to 1915, the architect Gino Coppedè created, between 1921 and 1927, the year of his death, a "residential" area within the Coppedè district.
This 'The Frogsies Fountain" is located in Mincio Plaze, in Rome (Italy) a few steps from the historic "Piper Club". Legend has it that right at the end of their concert held in the venue where Patty Pravo made her debut, the Beatles threw themselves dressed in the water games of the fountain.
It was June 1965, a particularly hot summer, indeed hot if you think that the capital was literally shocked by the two concerts that the Liverpool quartet held in just 48 hours.
