"The Goose's shot portrait" is a photographic work that immortalizes this aquatic bird as it skilfully cleans its white feathers. The image shows a Domestic White Goose (Anser anser domesticus) preening its feathers. Geese are aquatic birds belonging to the Anatidae family, the same family as ducks and swans. They have short legs and webbed feet, which make them efficient swimmers. Geese are considered highly intelligent animals, contrary to some popular beliefs. They possess the capacity for social intelligence and communication. They are loyal to their mate throughout their lives and grateful to those who care for them. They display a strong sense of territory, which they tenaciously defend.
