Description
"The Impressive Anatidae's Water Bird" is a photographic shot that portrait this aquatic bird "Mallard Duck", relaxing by the lake at houres sunset. The image shows a specimen of mallard duck (Anas platyrhynchos), one of the most common wild ducks.
The mottled brown coloration indicates that it is a female, or a male outside the breeding season, when it assumes camouflage plumage.
The male, during the nuptial period, is easily recognizable by its iridescent green head and neck.
These birds are omnivores, feeding on plants, insects, and small aquatic animals, which they seek by dipping their beaks into the water or scratching on the ground.
They live in a variety of freshwater habitats, such as ponds, lakes, and rivers, and are found throughout Italy.
A blue-purple "wing mirror" edged in white is visible on the wing, a feature common to both sexes.
This artwork reflects the following contemporary and timeless styles : Animalièr Style, Pop Style, Casual Style, Preppy Style, Country Style, Outdoor, Vintage/Retrò Style, Shabby Chic Style, Cottagecore, Ecostyle.
